dwell Student Living is a global company, with student accommodations in Australia, China, the UK and the USA.
Our doors are open to thousands of international students every year, so we have a pretty good idea of what you need, and when you need it. All our sites are international friendly and we welcome students from all over the world to stay with us.
All students without the right of abode/right to land in Hong Kong must apply for a student visa for the purpose of education from the Hong Kong Immigration Department (ImmD). You may find detailed information here.
If you have extended your study or your limit of stay which is shorter than the normal duration of your study programme, you should apply for an extension of student visa 4 – 6 weeks before your limit of stay expires.
For enquiries on visa matters, please contact Admissions Office (AO) of your university if you need any assistance.
Any visitor to Hong Kong (including a student coming from outside Hong Kong) who intends to stay for a period of more than 180 days is required by law to apply for a Hong Kong Identity Card at the Registration of Persons Office of the Immigration Department. You must apply for an HKID Card in person at the Immigration Department within 30 days of arrival. You will also need an HKID Card for an extension of your visa and visiting a public hospital. For further information, please click here.
If you require medical care, you may visit any of the public hospitals listed on the Government’s websites for further assistance.
If you are experiencing emergency symptoms at any point in time, call 999 for emergency services.
